Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager

to lead mission-critical projects in Milan.

This is a client-side role, acting as the key interface between internal teams and external contractors, ensuring the successful delivery of high-value data centre projects.

Lead full lifecycle delivery of data centre construction projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover

Act as the client representative, managing general contractors, MEP contractors, and consultants

Drive programme, budget, quality, and risk management across all project phases

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)

Commissioning Process , including:

• Level 1–5 commissioning
• Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
• QA/QC, documentation, and final handover

Ensure compliance with Italian regulations, permitting processes, and health & safety standards

Provide detailed reporting to senior stakeholders and manage key project risks

Foster strong relationships with local contractors and supply chain partners

Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, and cost management

Fluent Italian and English are essential

Solid knowledge of Italian construction regulations and standards

Previous project experience in Milan or wider Italy

Understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency within data centres

This role requires a technically strong, delivery-focused professional with a deep understanding of MEP systems and commissioning, combined with the ability to operate effectively in a local Italian market environment.
