Product Development Specialist

We are looking for a Product Development Specialist to join our R&D team in our Food Business Unit based in Italy.

The position will play a crucial role in supporting our New Categories R&D Team in new product development projects, from the concept to the commercialization, ensuring Brand Quality and Food Safety standards. The role will also be responsible of technical aspects from lab to industrial scale.

Scout and test new ingredients and technologies

Support prototype development at pilot scale

Define processing and packaging solutions to optimize shelf life and food safety

Coordinate industrial trials and first production runs with Quality and Operations teams

Track and report development activities and results

Work closely with Marketing to meet brand and market needs

You will report directly to the R&D Manager New Categories within the Brands and Innovation Team.

Degree in Food Science and Technology

Work Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills: Strong passion for cooking and the food industry, with a commitment to excellence. Previous experience with thermal processes (e.g. pasteurization), food safety aspects, and regulatory requirements within an international markets context are considered a plus

Soft Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Languages: Proficiency in Italian and English is required; knowledge of Spanish and/or French is a plus

IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Excel and PowerPoint

Contract type: Working Hours: Full Time

Remote Working: Standard business hours with remote working options available
