Data Engineer -IT

Founded in 2020, RENEWCAST builds precision wind & solar forecasting software using cutting‑edge ML to deliver accurate, scalable, and cost‑efficient predictions. After recent investment rounds, we are expanding our senior technical team to strengthen the data foundation behind our forecasts. Help build and maintain the data pipelines that — power our forecasts. You’ll work on ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and feature delivery across multiple data sources and schedules — collaborating closely with senior engineers for architecture and standards. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you’ll gain exposure to advanced workflows (xarray/Zarr/Dask, asset‑first orchestration) while growing toward senior‑level ownership.

Build and maintain data pipelines from raw weather & production data to curated features;

Learn the tensor‑first stack (xarray, Zarr, Dask) and apply it with mentorship from seniors.

3+ years of experience in Data Engineering;

• Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP) and basic CI/CD workflows;
• Good engineering hygiene: versioning, testing, observability, reliability mindset;
• Experience with scientific formats or tensorial data processing;

Experience with data quality, metadata, or lineage tools.
