Junior Engineering Software Specialist – Open to Fresh Graduates | Milan Head Office
Are you a graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a passion for digital innovation, 3D design systems, and software configuration?
At Arkad , we are looking for a Junior Engineering Software Specialist to join our permanent Head Office team in Milan . Working under the guidance and mentorship of our Engineering Software Manager, you will bridge the gap between pure mechanical engineering and IT, managing and administering advanced 3D engineering software packages used to design massive industrial plants.
Note: This position is fully open to Junior profiles and Fresh Graduates (Neolaureati) eager to build a high-demand career path in Engineering Digitalization & CAD Administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Administration: Provide hands-on support in the administration and configuration of core 3D engineering software packages, specifically focusing on Aveva E3D and Hexagon SP3D.
- Project Setup & Catalogues: Support the preparation, setup, and specification tracking of engineering projects and components catalogues within the 3D software environments.
- Standards & Guidelines: Assist in developing and maintaining corporate CAD standards, custom templates, user manuals, and technical guidelines for the engineering teams.
- Cross-Functional Interface: Act as a technical touchpoint between the Engineering Software Manager, specific discipline engineering teams, and the IT department to ensure seamless project operations.
- Vendor Operations: Interface with software vendors and specialized consultants to resolve technical errors and upgrade platforms.
Your Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a technical diploma with a strong focus on industrial design tools).
- 3D Software (Foundational / Academic Knowledge): Exposure to or a basic understanding of Aveva E3D (including its modules like Paragon, Draw, Isodraft) or Hexagon SP3D administration. Knowledge of Elena (CLA/Cadmatic) is a plus.
- Technical Engineering Basics: Familiarity with major international dimensional piping standards (ASME, API, MSS, EN).
- IT & Coding Affinity: Good command of MS Office (especially MS Access). Basic programming concepts (such as VB for Office/VBA) are highly appreciated.
- Languages: Good written and spoken English is essential for vendor and code interactions.
Salary Range for the role is: €28k-€30k gross salary
