ppSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert: /p h3Italy Stability Plan Approval Senior Engineer /h3 pCity: Genova /p pLocation: Genova, IT, 16128 /p pContract Type: Permanent /p pDivision: Mediterranean and Africa Marine /p pLevel of experience: Senior /p pRINA is currently recruiting for a bItaly Stability Plan Approval Senior Engineer /b to join its office in Genova, Italy within the bMediterranean and Africa Marine /b Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pThis role focuses on performing detailed plan and design reviews, resolving issues related to conflicting design requirements, ensuring client requirements and applicable standards are met. /p pProjects could include the approval of new building, conversion, and existing vessels and yachts. #LI-DC2 /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul liReview and approve loadline assignments, intact damage stability booklets, loading computer and ballast water management plan, in compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations, for new buildings, ships in service, and ship’s conversions. /li liProviding guidance and support related to load line, stability, loading computer and ballast water management plan matters. /li liAssess complex ship stability verification, proactive for problem solving and oriented to results. /li liCalculation with NAPA and other stability softwares. /li liKnowledge of stability criteria set by IACS and IMO Conventions and Codes (e.g. SOLAS, MARPOL, IBC Code, etc.). /li liExperiences on stability verifications for different types of ships. /li liAccording to manager assignment, project management tasks and serving as reference to clients to avoid escalation of issues. /li liAttitude of teamworking and activities related to new stability criteria. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pBachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ship stability, design, or marine operations, with a focus on stability plan approvals and regulatory compliance. /li liSignificant experience working with stability software tools and conducting ship stability assessments. /li liProven experience in reviewing and approving stability plans for new and existing vessels, including assessing compliance with international regulations such as SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), MARPOL (Marine Pollution), and other class society rules. /li liHands‑on involvement in evaluating load‑line calculations, intact stability, damage stability, and operational stability for a wide range of vessels (e.g., cargo ships, tankers, passenger vessels). /li liTechnical Skills: Strong knowledge of ship stability principles, including metacentric height (GM), trim, stability curves, and the impact of damage on stability. /li liExpertise in stability analysis software (e.g., Maxsurf, Stability software, NAPA, etc.) to carry out stability assessments and review stability documentation. /li liAbility to review and approve complex stability calculations, load line assessments, and stability booklets. /li liIn‑depth understanding of regulatory standards (IMO, SOLAS, local/national regulations) and the ability to ensure compliance with these regulations during plan approval processes. /li liTHINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future. /li liPIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstances. /li liMANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactions. /li liMAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraint. /li liEARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity. /li liCLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfaction. /li liBUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization. /li liADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way. /li /ul pRINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure mobility, industry, research development sectors.
