Cyber Security OT Tester

Position

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on innovative business transformation projects for clients, becoming part of a team specialized in OT cybersecurity. The role involves a strategic contribution to securing critical infrastructures, promoting the adoption of cutting-edge technological solutions, and ensuring compliance with major European regulations and standards.

For a strategic international project, the selected candidate will be required to relocate to Abu Dhabi for a continuous period of approximately 4 months , working onsite for a major local client.

The expected project start date is by mid-June .

The company will provide:

• One trip flights
• Accommodation fully covered by the company
• Monthly travel allowance/expat bonus of approximately €4,000–€5,000 net per month

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Cybersecurity Risk Assessments using semi-quantitative models and produce detailed reports to identify and mitigate risks and close security gaps identified during assessments.
• Carry out research and development activities to design innovative solutions aimed at protecting critical infrastructures from cyber threats.
• Design secure network architectures, ensuring compliance with security standards and applicable regulations.
• Develop OT cybersecurity policies and procedures required to maintain a security posture aligned.
• Execute testing, configuration, and validation activities for OT cybersecurity solutions, including industrial firewall configuration, NIDS systems (e.g. Nozomi ), architecture design, and testing activities.

Experience & Availability

• At least 2/5 years of experience in OT Cybersecurity and/or Industrial Automation.
• Availability to join within preferably 2–4 weeks’ notice.
• Availability to support projects with a maximum duration of 3–4 months in Abu Dhabi .

Education

• A degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Automation Engineering, or equivalent disciplines is considered a strong plus.

Technical Skills

• Proven experience in OT cybersecurity environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking components (Firewalls, Switches, Routers, Gateways, Access Points).
• Hands-on experience configuring industrial firewalls and NIDS solutions, preferably Nozomi Networks.
• Expertise in OT architecture design and testing activities.
• Experience with industrial network architectures and communication protocols (e.g. Fieldbus).
• Familiarity with major wireless protocols (eg. ZigBee, RFID, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11).
• Knowledge of industrial control systems (eg. SCADA, DCS, PLC, RTU, IED) and their implementation.
• Knowledge of leading vendors such as Siemens, ABB, and Rockwell.
• Strong understanding of the Purdue Model and OT network security best practices (e.g. segmentation and segregation).
• Ability to prepare quotations and size project plans in the OT Cybersecurity domain.
• Knowledge of OT security standards and frameworks (eg. ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82).

Additional Requirements

• Availability to undergo background checks and security clearance processes required by the end customer (including G42 clearance checks).
• Good command of English (minimum B1 level).
• Proficiency with Office365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Linux/Windows operating systems.
