Technical Consultant

Position within Philips’ Radiology Informatics solutions across the EMEA region, collaborating with international project delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Scoping, designing, building, deploying and integrating solutions, fulfilling software implementation deliverables such as detailed system build, configuration and testing.
• Analyze customer requirements (business, technical and clinical) to design, build and/or integrate the most appropriate solution, and serve as a consultant to provide technical recommendations that best fit the environment.
• Resolve technical issues and offer proactive technical support; interact with R&D for troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis; elevate critical escalations to senior leadership.
• Practice strong configuration management and version control; document solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development.
• Mentor and train customers to maintain their systems; act as a customer advocate and leverage insights to drive product decisions.
• Act as a key member of the implementation project/service team, fostering collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills and expertise.
• Develop and deliver knowledge‑sharing and technical seminars; contribute to the collective learning of Philips by sharing repeatable processes across multiple projects.
• Drive continuous improvement of implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback; ensure safety allegations and feedback are submitted to stakeholders; execute activities as per the Philips Excellence Process Framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server operating system.
• Programming skills, ideally 1–2 years experience with database and SQL code, scripting languages such as Perl, PowerShell, etc.
• Good knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Hyper‑V, VMware, Server and storage technologies.
• Intermediate knowledge of networking.
• Good knowledge of Oracle Database is a plus.
• Problem‑solving, analytical approach.
• Team‑working attitude.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
