Our work is directly contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future for communities in the world. /p h3The Opportunity /h3 pWe are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our fast‑growing Infrastructure team, in our Milan Office, who will deliver local and global projects including landmark projects in Italy and major infrastructures in Europe and the UK for Italian and global clients and contractors. /p pThe variety of projects and the internal research opportunities provide a great environment to develop technical skills and the delivery of complex megaprojects. /p h3As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Arup, You Will /h3 ul liGuide and deliver geotechnical design packages for complex building and infrastructure projects in Italy and internationally. /li liCollaborate closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, high‑quality engineering solutions. /li liPlan and manage geotechnical investigations, including fieldwork, laboratory testing, data interpretation, and ground modelling. /li liCarry out advanced geotechnical and numerical analyses, producing calculations, drawings, specifications, and clear technical reports. /li liCoordinate work packages across multiple projects and proposals, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery. /li liSupport, mentor, and develop junior colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture. /li liContribute to technical excellence, digital innovation, and knowledge sharing within Arup’s global geotechnical community. /li /ul h3About /h3 pWe’re looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for global infrastructure and building projects who is passionate about challenging design problems and has a strong interest in innovation and optimisation. We also value: /p ul liA master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or an equivalent discipline. /li li5‑10 years’ of relevant experience in geotechnical design on medium to large‑scale projects, or equivalent expertise gained through diverse career paths. /li liStrong experience in geotechnical and numerical analysis using industry‑standard software. /li liSolid engineering judgement with excellent planning, organisational, and time‑management skills. /li liInterest in digital engineering and BIM; experience with 3D modelling or GIS is an advantage. /li liProven ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. /li liFluency in Italian and English. /li /ul h3Why Arup /h3 pAt Arup, we believe in rewarding our members for their contributions to our shared success.
