Each risk we consider is unique which means our clients and brokers should enjoy the best practice, market leading experience of working with us. /ppIn your Underwriter role you will be responsible for writing new and renewal Energy business for an allocated range of clients across the book, working with brokers and clients in support of the profitable growth of a portfolio in line with the agreed Business Plan. /ppBy representing AXA XL Italy on the market, you will develop high quality levels of relationships with brokers, clients and colleagues (Claims, Operations and transversal functions). /ppThis is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime. /ppstrongWhat you’ll be DOING /strong /ppWhat will your essential responsibilities include? /pulliUnderwrite Energy business within the agreed business plan and individual authority: reviewing submissions including applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, and financial reports while conducting appropriate research to determine the degree of risk for each account. /liliCalculating appropriate risk premium by considering the risk costs inherent to the sector, reinsurance cessions as well as the Underwriting and general administration costs while ensuring profitability. /liliProactively advising, assisting, servicing, and following up with clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of their insurance requirements. /liliSeek, identify and develop opportunities for profitable business with new and existing customers. /liliEffective relationship management to initiate opportunities for cross-selling offered products and ensuring account retention. Collaborate with the Distribution Team by providing an effective and efficient service. /liliControlling timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards. /liliSupporting the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits. /liliPass all necessary and accurate information on to Operations colleagues for them to ensure the correct release of policies and/or implementation of programs. /liliMaintaining awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims. /li /ulpYou will report to the Underwriting Manager Property, Energy Construction, Italy /ppstrongWhat you will BRING /strong /ppWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: /pulliExperience in undewrwiting Energy business andgood insurance market knowledge /liliCommunicate and work in English and Italian /liliUnderstands stakeholders’ needs and concerns and identifies points of agreement.
