Senior Representative - Outside Sales

Overview

In this role you will drive new business and manage key accounts to grow sales and margins for Wesco products and services. You'll work closely with customers across levels to understand needs and present tailored solutions, balancing face-to-face selling with strategic account planning. You will contribute to territory growth, supplier collaboration, and the sales process from prospecting to post-sale relationship management. This is a performance-focused, team-driven environment with a clear path to commissions tied to your results.

Responsabilità

• Qualify accounts and forecast territory potential
• Execute and expand customer account plans with management
• Drive margin initiatives through value-added services and supplier engagement
• Prospect new customers via cold calling and referrals
• Identify customer needs and match products/services to those needs
• Demonstrate product value through tailored demonstrations
• Maintain ongoing client communication and issue resolution post-sale
• Inform customers of new products and enhancements
• Develop and track sales plans using management tools
• Mentor sales team and set expectations for service quality
• Develop product knowledge through Wesco and supplier training
• Foster strong supplier relationships through regular joint calls
• Provide quotations solo or with sales support

Requisiti fondamentali

• Valid Driver's License with satisfactory record
• High School Degree or Equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Engineering or related field (preferred)
• 3-5 years outside sales experience
• 4 years industry experience (preferred)
• Ability to travel to clients and suppliers
• Flexible schedule with occasional overnight travel
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team-oriented
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (preferred)
• Travel 50% - 75%
