Senior Software Engineer

ppYou're the kind of engineer who reads a pull request and immediately spots the architectural decision hiding behind it. /p pYou don't just write code – you design systems, own trade-offs, and care deeply about what happens after you ship. /p pAt ShippyPro, we're scaling a platform that handles millions of shipments a month. The backend is where the complexity lives: carrier integrations, async workflows, distributed systems, edge cases that would make most engineers sweat. /p pIf you think in abstractions, move with precision, and get genuinely excited about building things that scale – keep reading. /p h3About Us /h3 pOur journey began with a vision to Make people work better – and today, following our Series B funding round of $15M, we're transforming how companies worldwide deliver their products. /p pEngineering is at the core of everything we do. We're modernizing our architecture, integrating AI across the platform, and moving fast without cutting corners. You won't be maintaining legacy code in the dark. You'll be shaping how the system evolves. /p h3The Product /h3 pShippyPro is a shipping and fulfillment platform that helps merchants automate the entire shipping workflow, from choosing the best carrier service to generating labels and tracking deliveries. It connects with e-commerce platforms and multiple couriers, giving teams one place to ship faster, reduce manual work, and keep full control over costs and delivery performance. /p h3The Challenge /h3 pWe're not looking for someone who closes tickets. /p pWe're looking for someone who owns systems. /p pOur backend – built on PHP Laravel, with NodeJS and Python in the mix — is evolving into a microservices architecture handling millions of global requests. The work is real: designing scalable services, integrating AI into shipping workflows, making distributed systems actually reliable. /p pYour job is to bring structure to complexity, and ship things that last. /p h3Why ShippyPro? /h3 ul liYou'll work on a backend that actually scales – millions of API calls, real distributed systems, real trade-offs /li liYou'll shape the architecture, not just implement it /li liYou'll use AI as a genuine engineering tool, not a buzzword /li liYou'll collaborate directly with Product and Design – from idea to delivery /li liYou'll see your work in production fast, with real merchants depending on it /li /ul pCurious about our engineering culture?
