ph3Description /h3 pDenied Party Screening (DPS) Operations is seeking a dedicated, analytical candidate with a proven track record of performance to be part of the DPS Compliance Operations team. /p pDenied Party Screening (DPS) Operations is seeking a dedicated, analytical candidate with a proven track record of performance to be part of the DPS Compliance Operations team. /p pThe Compliance Specialist will assist in the continued development, implementation and enhancement of the DPS program for all jurisdictions where Amazon and its subsidiaries operate. You will support the daily compliance review of escalated DPS cases for Amazon and its subsidiaries. The Compliance Specialist will serve as an SME regarding sanctions compliance and will work closely with management to ensure and track the effectiveness of the Compliance Operations program to comply with the various U.S. and international sanctions rules and regulations. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liThe Compliance Specialist position relies on excellent judgment to plan and accomplish operational goals, working under very limited supervision of a manager. Excellent individual problem-solving and analytical skills are used to review customers and complex transactions. /li liAll candidates will be analytical and capable of succeeding in a fast-paced team environment. /li liClearly and timely communicate findings, determinations and recommendations to Compliance Operations management, Compliance Advisory, Legal, and business partners, both at periodic intervals and as needed regarding escalated or high risk compliance issues. /li liIdentify regulatory compliance risks/concerns and make suggestions and/or take corrective actions to implement solutions to improve controls/operations. /li liGuide management in the development/review of applicable policies, procedures and business practices. /li liEngage in frequent written and verbal communication with management, operations support teams, Compliance and Legal teams, and business partners to accomplish goals. /li liAssist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new hires. /li liMeet key performance indicator requirements /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in an industry role /li liExperience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization /li liExperience in relevant industries such as law, customer service, investigations or project management /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience working in risk/fraud analysis or in compliance organizations /li liExperience in AML or Compliance /li liKnowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and OFAC regulations /li liExperience engaging, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner /li liExperience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
