ph3Job Description Summary /h3 pAs a Service Shopfloor Supervisor, you will lead daily operations in a highly regulated aviation environment, ensuring capacity, execution, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards across CoE service activities, including MRO and CRO for military and civil components. You will manage daily work assignments, approve time and attendance, and foster a strong team-oriented culture. /p pThis role is responsible for driving shopfloor execution within established operating disciplines, standard practices, and procedures. You will lead lean transformation efforts, optimize processes, equipment, and material flow, and standardize methods to ensure reliable, consistent plant operations and production performance. /p h3Job Description /h3 h3Essential responsibilities: /h3 ul liLead and promote a team-based organization focused on specialized, quick-turnaround repair services for internal and external customers /li liCoordinate daily shopfloor activities, assigning work, monitoring progress, and ensuring safe and efficient execution across MRO/CRO cells /li liProvide technical, quality and production leadership to assigned cells/teams, including support on plant systems, equipment and maintenance activities /li liProvide leadership in the areas of training and development, equipment maintenance, process, and procedure implementation /li liCommunicate with internal/external customers to ensure that all commitments are met /li liProvide total shop / group leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production and compliance /li liProvide ongoing supervision and counseling for employees, guiding them in current positions and assisting with career development and training /li liWork with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet production and product support requirements /li liFacilitate the leadership team in decision-making and problem solving and provide effective communication across the plant /li liProvide technical, quality and production leadership to assigned Cells/Teams /li liSupport Shop Leader in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment and other resources /li liLead and sustain lean transformation initiatives on the shopfloor (e.g. value stream mapping, layout optimization, flow pull systems, standard work, 5S, visual management) /li liUse prior Process Engineering experience to define, validate and improve repair and production processes, including methods, routings, cycle times and tooling /li liPartner with Engineering, Quality and Maintenance to improve process capability, reduce variability and ensure robust methods for both civil and military components /li liTranslate continuous improvement opportunities into structured projects, with clear targets, milestones and measurable impact on SQDC /li liCoach the team in problem solving (e.g. PDCA, 8D, root cause analysis) and in the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools /li liBe accountable for achieving safety, quality, delivery, cost and compliance targets (SQDC) /li liEnsure full adherence to aviation legislation and EASA/EMAR Part 145 requirements, including documentation, traceability and configuration control /li liDrive implementation and sustainment of standard work, procedures and visual management on the shopfloor /li liSupport the Shop Leader in strategic planning of manpower, equipment and other resources needed to sustain capacity and meet production plans /li liContribute to production planning and control, ensuring alignment between load, capacity and material availability /li liFacilitate the leadership team in decision-making and problem-solving, and provide effective communication and coordination across the plant /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering /li liExperience managing complex and structured teams /li liProven experience as a Process Engineer and/or Production Supervisor, with responsibility for process definition, industrialization, and shopfloor leadership /li liPrevious leadership experience; experience in technology, material management processes, or shop operations is a plus /li liStrong knowledge of production, shop operations, and production control in a manufacturing environment /li liSolid technical understanding of plant systems, equipment, and maintenance processes /li liStrong continuous improvement mindset, with focus on standardization, waste elimination, and SQDC /li liDemonstrated experience leading lean transformation projects, including value stream mapping, layout optimization, standard work, 5S, Kaizen, and problem-solving initiatives /li liProven ability to analyze and solve problems using data-driven, structured methodologies /li liFluent in Italian and English /li liValid work visa, in accordance with local regulations, is required /li /ul h3Desired Characteristics /h3 ul liStrong oral and written communication skills /li liStrong interpersonal and leadership skills /li liDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems /li liDemonstrated ability to lead programs/projects /li liDeep knowledge of aviation legislation, including applicable civil and military regulations (e.g. EASA/EMAR) /li liDeep Knowledge in Aviation Legislation /li liSolid technical understanding of plant systems, equipment and maintenance processes, enabling effective support to maintenance and reliability activitie /li liDeep knowledge of production planning, shop operations and production control in a manufacturing or MRO/CRO environment /li /ul h3Why Join Us /h3 pAt Avio Aero, people power our progress.
