RISK ENGINEERING LOB MANAGER

Based in Milan and leading the Risk Engineering Team, you will be in charge of developing and executing the strategy for the Constructions and Corporate Client risks into the Italian market. With strong ties to the Group, you will also support the local strategy to ensure the successful achievement of the Allianz Mid Corporate targets. You will be also the contact person for agents and/or brokers working with the Risk Engineering Team.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelinesSteer and control the portfolio at local level, to drive the achievement of financial targetsProactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end to end underwriting life cycleWork closely with Sales departments, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-sellingEnsure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory frameworkProactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified productsSupport the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations)Communicate local business strategy externallyKey Requirements/Skills/ExperienceMaster's degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction or Mechanical Engineering or equivalentBetween 15 and 25 years of proven experience in underwriting profitable Risk Engineering for corporate and construction risks as well as Engineering Professional FirmsProven leadership skillsExpertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycleSound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skillsIdeally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordingsIdeally experience in driving underwriting projectsEntrepreneurial mindsetStrong communication skillsAble to work in an international organizationFluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken)Data AnalyticsVery good knowledge in Office 365 and other collaborative toolsPursuant to Article 5(1) of Legislative Decree No. 96 of 7 May 2026, as amended and supplemented from time to time, the range applicable to the position offered is between 75.000 gross and 90.000 gross.Employment will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the National Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies and the applicable Company Agreement.The final determination of the starting remuneration will be based on an evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and relevant experience in relation to the requirements of the role.101989 | Underwriting | Management | Non-Executive | Allianz Italy | Full-Time | PermanentAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
