We’re looking for a Sales Lead to join our Central Italy (Tuscany, Marche and Umbria) team. In this role, you’ll be a founding member of a growing team, helping us build and maintain relationships with Italy’s most premium and highly-regarded restaurant partners.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Local Sales team. We are the driving force behind Deliveroo's selection, focused on acquiring high-profile restaurant groups and ensuring our marketplace offers the best culinary experiences in Italy.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coordinate, and mentor a team of Business Development Managers to hit collective acquisition targets.
• Strategic Partnerships: Work directly with the Regional Manager to facilitate and lead business meetings with high-profile restaurant groups.
• New Business Generation: Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through strategic outreach and face-to-face meetings.
• Complex Negotiations: Conduct high-level business negotiations to acquire premium customers and expand our market footprint.
• Product Advocacy: Use your deep industry knowledge to demonstrate the value of Deliveroo’s technology and services to potential partners.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Essential

• Leadership Expertise: Significant experience managing and developing high-performing commercial teams.
• Commercial Track Record: Proven background in commercial roles with a strong comfort level in targeting and securing new business.
• Strategic Negotiation: A tenacious approach to business development and a proven ability to lead complex, high-level negotiations.
• Senior Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to and influencing senior partners and restaurant groups.
• Results-Driven Mindset: A proactive attitude with a focus on ownership, autonomy, and hitting critical growth milestones.

Nice to Have

• Industry Insight: Deep knowledge of the Italian restaurant industry and current market trends.
• Established Network: An existing network of contacts within the high-profile restaurant or hospitality sector.

Compensation

• National Collective Agreement (CBA): CCNL Commercio e Terziario
• Classification Level: Livello 2

The total target compensation (OTE (On-Target Earnings, ovvero la retribuzione totale prevista al raggiungimento del 100% degli obiettivi) for this role is  €47,200 – €59,000 gross per year, of which the base salary range is €36,308 – €45,385.
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed above and is determined based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

This position is not eligible for consideration for an equity/RSU grant.

The successful candidate's starting total target compensation (On-Target Earnings) for this role will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. This compensation is composed of a percentage based split between base salary and variable pay (where the base salary represents a percentage of the total range below. Eligible employees may earn variable compensation if they meet 100% of their performance targets. Actual earnings may be higher if targets are exceeded or lower if targets are not fully met.

Pay Range:

€36.308—€45.385 EUR
