For refugees and displaced individuals, language is more than just words —it’s the key to independence, employment, and feeling at home in a new country. You can help by simply talking with someone!
The Language Connect for Ukraine program is seeking volunteers to engage in virtual 1:1 conversations with Ukrainian learners eager to practice speaking in a real-world setting. No formal teaching is needed—just friendly conversation, cultural exchange, and encouragement !
Your voice can help someone grow in confidence, find opportunities, and integrate into their new community .
What You’ll Do
✔ Engage in relaxed video conversations to support Ukrainian learners in their language journey.
✔ Create a positive and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable practicing.
✔ Share your culture and experiences , and learn about theirs in return.
✔ Set your own schedule —volunteer as much or as little as you want!

Requirements
🔹 Speakers of any language
🔹 Friendly, patient, and open-minded individuals who enjoy conversation.
🔹 Supportive communicators willing to help someone improve their skills.
🔹 Able to use video chat platforms with a reliable internet connection.
No prior teaching experience is required—just a willingness to talk, listen, and connect!
