This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Product Design (SaaS) based in Italy. This is a high-impact, hands‑on leadership role focused on defining the end-to-end product experience of an enterprise SaaS platform powered by AI‑driven customer intelligence. You will shape how users interact with complex data systems, transforming them into intuitive, habit‑forming, and commercially effective workflows. The role sits at the intersection of product design, user psychology, and growth strategy, where design decisions directly influence adoption, retention, and revenue expansion. You will own the design system and ensure consistency across dashboards, analytics, and enterprise workflows at scale. Rather than focusing on surface-level UI, you will architect deep product experiences that drive usage frequency and multi-department engagement. Working closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams, you will translate complex functionality into elegant, high‑performing user experiences. This role is ideal for a design leader who thrives in execution depth while thinking strategically about product growth.Accountabilities
Design and evolve an enterprise‑grade SaaS experience that drives sustained engagement, adoption, and expansion across client organizations.Build habit‑forming workflows and interaction patterns that increase user frequency, retention, and internal product advocacy.Embed growth‑oriented design mechanics such as collaboration, sharing, and referral triggers within core product flows.Own and maintain a scalable design system ensuring consistency across dashboards, analytics interfaces, and workflow modules.Translate complex data and AI‑driven capabilities into intuitive, accessible, and decision‑ready product experiences.Align UX design decisions with product and business metrics, including retention, expansion, and multi‑department usage.Lead end‑to‑end design execution from concept and prototyping through testing, iteration, and post‑launch optimization.Collaborate closely with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment between user experience and commercial outcomes.Use user feedback, analytics, and A/B testing to continuously refine product experience and usability.Present design strategy, rationale, and outcomes to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in SaaS product design, ideally with exposure to enterprise or complex B2B platforms.Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in designing dashboards, data‑heavy interfaces, and scalable SaaS systems.Proven ability to design products that drive user engagement, retention, or expansion through UX and interaction design.Deep understanding of enterprise user behavior, adoption dynamics, and product‑led growth principles.Strong proficiency in Figma and experience building or maintaining scalable design systems.Analytical mindset with familiarity in A/B testing, product analytics, and usage‑driven design iteration.Ability to operate as a high‑ownership individual contributor while influencing cross‑functional teams.Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution capability in fast‑paced environments.Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Comfortable working in high‑visibility roles where design directly impacts business outcomes.
