About the Role
We are looking for an Instrumentation Engineering Supervisor to oversee instrumentation, control and automation installation, testing and pre-commissioning activities on site.
Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of field instruments, valves and control systems
- Oversee cabling, tubing and signal systems
- Perform and supervise loop checks and functional testing
- Support calibration and tuning activities
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specs and standards
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and commissioning teams
- Review method statements, ITPs and calibration records
- Verify installation of PLC/SCADA systems (where applicable)
- Coordinate vendor specialists
- Support technical queries and non-conformities
- Ensure HSE compliance
- Support handover to commissioning
- Manage punch lists and documentation
Qualifications
- Degree in Automation / Electrical / Control Engineering
- 8–10 years of experience in instrumentation/automation
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of field instrumentation and testing
- Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams and wiring diagrams
- PLC/SCADA familiarity
- Fluent English
- Availability to travel
Preferred Skills
- Process / energy plants experience
- Safety systems (SIS/ESD)
- Commissioning/start-up experience
Pay range and compensation package
Permanent, full-time contract. Competitive compensation package aligned with seniority (indicative base salary: €65,000 – €90,000 gross/year). Additional allowances, including:
- International assignment / travel allowance
- Daily subsistence allowance (per diem)
