About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to lead marketing planning, execution and performance for the Italian market, and to bring structure, financial discipline and leadership to the local team.

Marketing is a central Group function, and this role is its senior lead in Italy. Working within the Group marketing and commercial framework, you will turn Group brand strategy and channel priorities into a clear Italian marketing plan, manage approved budgets, and m easure marketing effectiveness using agreed commercial and brand performance indicators, including ROI and financial impact where measurable. You will work closely with Group Marketing, Brand Managers and Italian sales team, and make well-founded recommendations on where to focus locally.

You will lead and develop the local marketing team, setting priorities, coaching team members and ensuring effective execution. This is a senior role for someone who is as comfortable with a budget model and ROI analysis as with a retailer launch plan, and who thrives in a collaborative, matrix organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Italian marketing plan based on agreed brand strategies, Group Marketing guidelines and Italian commercial objectives, working closely with Brand Management, GTM and local sales leadership.
• Manage approved marketing budgets, control costs, track ROI and recommend where to increase, shift or reduce investment.
• Lead the marketing elements of joint business plans with key retailers, in close collaboration with Sales, including launches, in-store activations and digital campaigns.
• Adapt international concepts for Italy and work with agencies, influencers and media to deliver them.
• Measure performance, report insights to Group and local leadership, and continuously improve what works.
• Guide the local marketing team and be the link between Group Marketing, Brand Managers, Sales and other teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in marketing, trade marketing or brand marketing, ideally in beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, fashion or another consumer-focused industry.
• Proven ownership of a marketing budget, including planning, forecasting and cost control.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen: comfortable with ROI analysis, marketing economics and the P&L impact of marketing decisions.
• Experience building joint business or marketing plans with retailers, and working with multiple brands or in a multi-market environment.
• Experience leading, coaching or guiding team members, agencies or cross-functional project teams.
• Excellent analytical skills, with advanced Excel; experience with BI or reporting tools is an advantage.
• Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Fluent Italian and English.
