Software Engineer

Role Description As a Software Engineer at Bliss, you will work full time on-site in our Rome office, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and maintain software solutions that power our marketing services. You will design, implement, and optimize back-end features, APIs, and integrations that support data-driven campaigns and digital products. Your day-to-day activities will include writing clean, efficient, and testable code; reviewing peers’ code; debugging and resolving issues; and improving application performance and reliability. You will participate in architectural decisions, contribute to technical documentation, and work closely with product and marketing stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable software. You will also help refine development practices, advocate for engineering best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in one or more modern languages (e.g. JavaScript, or similar).
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Comfort working in an on-site, collaborative environment and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
