Seeking one offshore crew member (male or female) for the ABC Amel 55 ketch, owner aboard. Route: Rome → Gibraltar → Cape Verde → Martinique (about 4,660 nm in three legs). Join in Rome: 25 Oct; arrive Martinique around 8 Dec. No Canaries stop; independent crossing (no rally). Ocean leg leaves Mindelo ~24 Nov depending on weather.
Aboard: skipper (full-time liveaboard, sailing since childhood) + co-skipper (five Sydney–Hobart races). Three-handed, 4 on / 8 off, own cabin.
Requirements: 2,000+ nm offshore (incl. nights), able to stand solo watch, no chronic seasickness, fluent English (French bonus), absolute non-smoker. Electrical/electronics experience valued.
Terms: you cover own travel & insurance; share onboard kitty (food, fuel, moorings, clearances) ~€1,000 over ~7 weeks. Owner covers maintenance/repairs; written crew agreement.
Rome–Gibraltar leg is a compulsory trial; either side may step off in Gibraltar at their own cost.
