ABOUT THE ROLE

Hi, I’m Bohdan Head of Customer Support at Progress Partners, and I’m hiring a Senior AI Automation Engineer to join my team. Our support operation runs on connected tools (Zendesk, Twilio, Outlook, Gmail, in-house admin panels and our product APIs), all tied together by flows, triggers, and automations. Now we want to bring LLMs into that stack to take repetitive work off our agents’ plates, and we need someone to own it full-time. You’ll build and run the AI-powered automations behind our support workflows: connecting models and services through APIs, designing and testing prompts, shipping lightweight internal tools, and keeping everything reliable in production.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Build and maintain LLM-powered automations for support workflows.

– Integrate LLM models and third-party services through REST APIs.

– Design, test, and refine prompts; evaluate model outputs for quality and reliability.

– Create lightweight internal tools and UI components using HTML and CSS.

– Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve automations running in production.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

– 5+ years of experience in software or automation engineering.

– Hands-on experience with LLM models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and prompt engineering.

– Strong experience working with REST APIs.

– Good understanding of HTML and CSS.

– Solid programming skills (e.g., Python or JavaScript).

– Strong written communication and the ability to work autonomously in a remote, async environment.

– Comfort with ownership, transparency, and a results-driven mindset.

NICE TO HAVE

– Frontend development background (e.g., React, Vue, or a similar framework).

– Initial screen with our Talent Acquisition Team – 30 min

– Technical interview with our Senior Full-Stack Engineer – 60 min

– Final panel with our Head of Customer Support – 45 min
