Business Development Engineer

OverviewIn this role you will identify and develop new business opportunities in renewables, with a focus on ocean energy markets, while shaping Prysmian’s offerings for emerging applications. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to adapt solutions, engage external stakeholders, and support bids to grow both renewable and defense‑related activity. The position combines market intelligence, strategic positioning, and relationship‑building to drive growth in fast‑evolving sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities in renewable energy, especially ocean energy marketsContribute to market intelligence on trends, competitors, and new technologiesEngage external stakeholders to position Prysmian in innovative projectsPrepare commercial proposals, pre‑qualifications, and tenders for opportunitiesCollaborate with engineering, R&D, and product management to tailor offeringsSupport business development in defense and military applicationsBuild and maintain a pipeline of opportunities in renewable and defense marketsSupport client meetings, workshops, and industry events to generate leadsQualificationsEngineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or equivalent)Up to 3‑4 years in a business development roleFluent in English;
