Business Application Specialist (80-100%)

Together with business departments, IT specialists and external software partners, you will continuously improve our business applications and digital collaboration platforms. As part of our Geobrugg Italy team in Milan, you will work in an international environment while taking on a global role within the Geobrugg Group. You will play a key role in the development of our Microsoft-based application landscape and support solutions used by employees across multiple continents every day. Working closely with colleagues in Switzerland, international business units and software partners across the DACH region, you will help turn business requirements into sustainable digital solutions.

What you will do

• Ensure the stable operation and continuous improvement of our business applications.
• Work closely with business departments, IT specialists and external software partners on solutions around Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 CRM, CPQ and related digital platforms.
• Drive initiatives related to digital collaboration, automation and artificial intelligence.
• Coordinate releases, testing activities and technical enhancements, ensuring structured and controlled implementation.
• Support governance topics such as roles, permissions, data quality and documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues around the world and support solutions used globally across the Geobrugg Group.
• Act as an important connection between our international business units, the team in Romanshorn (Switzerland) and our software partners in the DACH region.

What we are looking for

• Completed vocational education, bachelor’s degree or university degree in Information Technology, Digitalization, Business Applications, Business Engineering or a comparable field.
• Experience working with business applications and digital platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM or a comparable CRM platform is highly desirable.
• Understanding of systems, processes and technical dependencies.
• Ability to analyze, structure and prioritize requirements while managing multiple topics in parallel.
• Confidence working across business functions, IT teams and external partners.
• Curiosity for new technologies and a pragmatic approach to turning ideas into solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• German language skills are a strong advantage.
• Willingness to work in an international environment and travel occasionally within the Geobrugg Group.
