strongSenior Android Engineer /strong to strengthen our Software Engineering team. /ppIn this role, you will contribute to the implementation of current and future mobile applications for elevator passengers, helping establish and evolve the critical interfaces between mobile applications, elevator control systems, hardware components and access devices that power Schindler's next generation digital mobility ecosystem. /ppYou will play a key role in designing and evolving hardware-centric mobile solutions, bridging the digital and physical worlds through technologies such as strongBLE /strong, strongNFC /strong and future connectivity platforms. /ppYou will support the definition of software architecture, platform strategy and technology vision while driving the implementation of innovative mobile solutions as part of an international, globally distributed software engineering team. /ppYou will collaborate with product owners, architects and development teams, providing continuous improvement of innovative mobile solutions supporting Schindler’s digital mobility ecosystem. /ppYour responsibilities include: /pulliEnsuring future-proof software architecture and design for mobile applications in alignment with Schindler’s strategy and technology vision. /liliPartnering with stakeholders to identify architecturally significant requirements and help shape the architecture vision and technology roadmap. /liliInteracting with product owners and development teams regarding software architectural decisions for mobile applications and related products. /liliCollaborating with engineering teams to shape the overall platform architecture and technology vision. /liliDesigning, implementing, testing and continuously improving SDKs to interface with hardware components, access devices and elevator control systems via strongBLE /strong, strongNFC /strong and other emerging technologies. /liliProviding technical leadership, guidance and assistance to software engineers in the usage of established SDKs and hardware interfaces. /liliContributing to sprint plans, estimates and technical design proposals. /liliInvestigating commercial and open-source software frameworks for applicability and integration. /liliEnsuring software quality through collaboration with requirement engineers and testers, while implementing automated tests and continuous integration practices. /liliParticipating in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, documentation and deployment. /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongWhat You Bring (Required Qualifications) /strong /pulliBachelor’s or Master’s degree in strongComputer Science, Software Engineering /strong or a related discipline. /liliDemonstrated passion for mobile applications and delivering exceptional user experiences. /liliExposure to and experience with physical access and mobile credential solutions. /liliStrong understanding and application of modern software engineering and software architecture principles. /liliStrong experience developing hardware-centric mobile applications using modern software engineering practices and technologies. /liliExperience establishing APIs and developing SDKs. /liliExperience with user experience and interface design, test automation and app analytics. /liliAbility to work effectively in international, distributed and fast-paced environments with changing priorities. /liliVery strong knowledge of native strongAndroid application development using Kotlin /strong. /liliProven experience with strongBLE /strong, strongNFC /strong and offline-mode/offline-first architectures. /liliExperience optimizing mobile applications for performance, reliability and battery efficiency. /liliKnowledge of product cybersecurity and secure development lifecycle practices. /liliFamiliarity with strongIEC 62443 /strong and secure software development principles. /liliExperience using software development tools including strongGit /strong and strongJIRA /strong. /liliSelf-directed, self-organized, highly responsible and reliable team player. /liliExcellent communication skills with
