Trade Working Capital is part of Global Transaction Banking (GTB), a strategic growth platform within Santander Corporate Investment Banking, supporting large multinational and domestic corporates with trade finance, working capital, supply chain finance and structured solutions across international markets. /ph3ABOUT THE ROLE /h3pSantander Trade Working Capital Sales is looking for an experienced Vice President to join the team in Milan. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial development of a defined cluster of large corporate clients, driving growth through the origination, structuring and execution of Trade Working Capital solutions. The role requires a strong combination of senior client coverage, business development capabilities and product expertise across both traditional trade finance products and more sophisticated structured working capital solutions. /ph3KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /h3h3Origination Business Development /h3ulliManage and develop senior relationships with a dedicated portfolio of large corporate clients and key decision-makers. /liliOriginate new business opportunities and drive commercial growth across the Trade Working Capital product suite. /liliIdentify client financing, liquidity optimization and supply chain needs, translating them into tailored commercial opportunities. /liliLead strategic dialogue with CFOs, Treasurers, Procurement and Supply Chain executives. /li /ulh3Product Origination Structuring /h3ulliOriginate and execute traditional Trade Finance solutions including guarantees, standby letters of credit, documentary letters of credit, import/export financing, receivables finance and payables finance solutions. /liliLead the origination and structuring of more sophisticated Working Capital transactions, including: /liliStructured Receivables Finance /liliSupply Chain Finance solutions /liliTailor-made working capital structures designed around specific client needs and business models /liliCoordinate the development of bespoke solutions involving multiple internal stakeholders and international Santander platforms. /liliManage and grow an existing portfolio of Trade Working Capital transactions, with responsibility for revenue generation, capital management, level of utilization and client satisfaction. /liliMonitor portfolio performance and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities. /liliSupport transaction execution from origination through implementation and ongoing management. /liliContribute to revenue forecasting, pipeline discipline and commercial planning activities. /li /ulh3Internal Leadership Coordination /h3ulliAct as a senior commercial partner for Coverage Bankers and product teams. /liliCoordinate closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product Management and Structuring teams. /liliActively contribute to the development of the Italian Trade Working Capital franchise. /liliSupport knowledge sharing and provide guidance to junior team members when required. /liliManage a dedicated team of junior resources supporting origination activities, ensuring effective coordination, prioritization and execution follow-up. /li /ulh3WHAT YOU’LL BRING /h3h3Professional Experience /h3ulliMinimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in Global Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Working Capital Solutions, Corporate Banking or Structured Trade Receivables Finance. /liliDemonstrated track record in originating and closing complex Trade Working Capital transactions. /liliStrong experience managing senior relationships within large corporates and multinational groups. /liliProven ability to structure customized financing solutions and lead discussions with senior client decision-makers. /liliSolid understanding of credit, risk, legal and operational considerations relevant to structured transactions. /li /ulh3Education /h3ulliDegree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent. /liliMBA, Master in Finance or other postgraduate qualifications considered an advantage. /li /ulh3Languages /h3ulliSpanish considered a plus /li /ulh3WE VALUE YOUR IMPACT /h3pYour contribution is recognized through a competitive and transparent reward framework: /pulliLeadership exposure: opportunity to lead strategic client relationships and contribute to the growth of Santander’s GTB franchise. /liliInternational platform: access to Santander’s global network and international client base. /liliFlexible working model: flexible working arrangements and hybrid working opportunities. /liliContinuous learning: access to Santander Open Academy and global development programs. /liliCareer progression: long-term development opportunities within Santander Corporate Investment Banking. /li /ulh3LOCAL COMPLIANCE /h3pSantander is an equal opportunity employer.
