Brand Communication Manager Football

Purpose of the role : 

Manage brand communications for adidas Football Business units, in order to build powerful brand momentum around Football moments and partners endorsed by adidas (ex FIGC, AS Roma) and selected cross-category campaigns, plan effective implementation and excellent execution, strong consumer engagement, support sell out. Manage integrated plans according to guidelines, brand standards and business objectives in the country. 

What you'll do : 

• Develop, steer and execute country category activation plans landing holistic approach with Euro/ Global campaigns across all communication channels (comms, media, PR, social, digital, events, etc ) in collaboration with horizontal and vertical BU teams.
• Develop and steer adidas’ partners (FIGC, AS Roma, Como, Players, etc…) dedicated activation plans landing advanced comprehensive plans in alignment with Global BU across all communication channels (comms, media, publishing, PR, Digital, e com, events, etc) in collaboration with horizontal and vertical BU teams and Sports Marketing
• Ensure all consumer touch points (comms, channel marketing, sport marketing culture marketing) are in alignment and connected, ensuring a seamless consumer journey (digital and physical).
• Implement and execute the proper media mix to achieve and maximize the strategic objectives (upper + mid funnel focus)
• Define in close collaboration with the media agency the partners that best suit the campaign/product that will be advertised;
• Assure that Football brand image is consistent and coherence across all the channels and guarantee synergies and alignment, following Brand guidelines and brand positioning and standards.
• Look always for localization opportunities to empower brand visibility, partnerships and appeal in all the touchpoint (digital and physical), in owned and earned properties.
• Implement media integrated communication plans and consumer activations and specific project, in line with objectives and brand positioning.
• Drive and execute the Publishing strategy (PR, Partner and Digital Publishing) and deliver compelling storytelling for Football category across key media and adidas' partners both on traditional and new platforms, ensuring brand stories are amplified with consistency, scale and impact.
• Manage and measure the Communities.
• Coordinate and keep up to date the bases and the adidas touchpoint, work constantly on consumer engagement.
• Brief and manage the communication events agencies/ media / partners for effective brand initiatives which sustain the category plans, guarantee brand consistency and executional excellence.
• Bring contribution into the creation of seasonal cross-category brand comms plan of respective project/area of responsibility.
• Implement KPI setting for all plans and initiatives, be responsible for qualitative, quantitative analysis and reports to monitor effectiveness of the implemented projects and ensure brand excellence, all plans and initiatives must be on-budget/on-time.
• Monitor activities to evaluate return of the investments.
• Budget management. 

Skills you'll need : 

• Experience in brand marketing and/or sales (sporting goods industry preferred)
• Project management experience
• Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
• Consumer events management and execution (from niche to bigger scale)
• Consumer and customer-minded brand builder and implementation driven personality.
• Experience with digital production process and technical nature of developing digital marketing initiatives.
• Experience managing communications touchpoint and evolving media landscape knowledge and it KPI
• Understanding of key Digital success metrics along the consumer journey on- and off-site
• Ability to manage or collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary groups.
• Strong Sport Industry knowledge (lifestyle is a plus)
• Passion for sport, football, lifestyle, technology, e-gaming, trends in consumer behavior and evolution of communication landscape
• Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and understanding of editorial planning, particularly across PR and social landscape.

Minimum Requirement : 

• 4 - 7 years of marketing / communication working experience
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Fluent in local language (if applicable) preferred.
• Strong presentation skills
