Staff Engineer Technical Product Owner (F/M/D)

We implement and adapt AI algorithms across a broad variety of projects, including predictive maintenance and defect detection, control and robotics, design optimization and simulation, unmanned inspections and many others. Our team deploys production-ready code in Cloud and Edge environments to make energy products more efficient, reliable, safe and sustainable.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with the Solution Manager to preserve solution intent while adapting to execution realities.Lead architectural and technical decisions to ensure feasibility, clarity, and technical completeness.Own and manage the initiative backlog (features, user stories), driving refinement aligned with delivery constraints.Lead estimation efforts, assessing technical complexity, risks, and cross‑discipline dependencies.Lead technical deep‑dives and requirements definition, translating product and customer needs into actionable specifications.Guide AI/ML use case definition, data readiness, and model selection trade‑offs.Act as the primary technical stakeholder interface, communicating status, risks, and decisions.Provide technical leadership and influence across cross‑functional teams to drive successful outcomes.Desired QualificationsStrong software engineering foundation (architecture, APIs, microservices, cloud).Knowledge of AI/ML platforms and techniques (Azure, OpenAI, Databricks, LangChain).Ability to write clear, executable features and user stories.Strong analytical and systems‑thinking skills to assess trade‑offs and impacts.Execution‑focused, pragmatic, and detail‑oriented.Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring).Experience managing technical risk across complex initiatives.Demonstrated technical leadership, influence, and effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Flexible Working PatternsWorking flexible hours – flex the times you work during the day to fit everything in and to work when you are most productive.Benefits & CompensationContemporary work‑life balance policies and well‑being activities.Comprehensive private medical care options.Safety net of life insurance and disability programs.Tailored financial programs.Additional elected or voluntary benefits.Pay for Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 60,800 to 83,600. The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position.
