Junior Procurement Specialist

We're looking for a proactive Junior Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in Milan . In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Procurement Manager to drive the success of community campaigns across Italy and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Procurement Specialist, you will:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, through regular appraisals and development meetings.
• Support new product introduction and manage critical path processes to ensure timely delivery.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with new suppliers to improve competitiveness and expand sourcing opportunities.
• Assist in managing supply agreements in coordination with Group Legal
• Support major programmes by ensuring capacity planning, quality assurance, and risk management.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (including Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Legal, IT) and attend trade fairs to scout for new ideas and

market innovations.
• Conduct pricing analysis, benchmark suppliers, and manage product portfolios, ensuring compliance with country-specific requirements.
• Analyse supplier performance after campaigns, monitor Key Performance Indicators, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Prepare insightful reports, dashboards, and presentations to support business decisions and management reviews.

Requirements

You will ideally have:

• At least 2 years' experience in a procurement, sourcing, trading, or retail environment.
• Fluency in both English and Italian , with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills , with the ability to build long-term partnerships and deliver commercial value.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities , with a keen eye for detail and confidence working with data, pricing, and KPIs.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities , work to tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• A proactive and curious mindset , with a passion for innovation, market trends, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills , enabling effective collaboration across cross-functional and international teams.
• Willingness to travel as required for supplier meetings, trade fairs, and business activities.
