The organisation operates in highly structured and mission-critical environments, delivering services and operational support across complex international projects. The company is a long-standing partner of space institutions, delivering solutions for Earth Observation, scientific data platforms, and operational digital environments.We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated mid-level Financial Accountant with 4–5 years of experience, ideally with experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred), to join the finance team, with the ability to work autonomously and thrive in a collaborative environment.For this role, relocation to Rome is mandatory for candidates living far from the area, unless they are able to commute regularly.Advanced English and Excel proficiency are required.YOUR TASKSIn this role, you will contribute to the daily activities of the finance department, supporting accounting processes and financial reporting across multiple projects.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including the preparation and review of accounting data.Verifying the accurate posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.Participating in the monthly review of project financial performance analysis.Supporting accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) activities, including invoice processing and vendor reconciliations.Monitoring outstanding receivables and assisting with collection follow-ups.Performing A/P and A/R account reconciliations on a regular basis.Supporting the management of intercompany transactions and related balance sheet accounts.Contributing to the preparation and maintenance of financial plans and forecasts, working closely with the wider finance team.Assisting with audit requests (internal and external) by preparing documentation and extracting financial data.Collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE4-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or finance operations, with the ability to work autonomously.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; alternatively, a technical school diploma (or equivalent) with 5 years of experience in finance operations and bookkeeping.Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP and accounting rules.Advanced Excel proficiency is mandatory.Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred or equivalent).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a structured environment.Excellent communication skills and a cooperative team mindset.Strong initiative, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.EXTRA INFORMATIONLocation: Rome (Anagnina area), ItalyType of contract: PermanentWork mode: Hybrid - 2 days in the office and the rest from homWork environment: International and structured environment supporting European programmes in the space and defence sectorsStart: ASAPEligibility:EU Citizens, orNon-EU Citizens already based in the EU with a valid work permitOnce we receive your CV, we will take time to evaluate it carefully.
