We’re looking for an experienced Java SW Developer (Offboard/Cloud) to join an exciting automotive project focused on vehicle diagnostics, telemetry, and Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates .

Location: Turin, Italy

Employment: Full-time

Experience: 5+ years

Industry: Automotive / Connected Vehicles / Cloud

VISA: Work authorisation to work in Italy

What you’ll be working on

You will help develop the backend infrastructure that connects cloud platforms with vehicles, working on:

• Scalable backend services using Java, Spring & Spring Boot

• RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

• Vehicle diagnostics and telemetry data processing

• Cloud-to-vehicle OTA update pipelines

• Secure and reliable software/firmware deployment

• Cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure or GCP

• Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines

• Testing backend interactions with simulated vehicle endpoints using Vector CANoe

✅ What we’re looking for

Must have:

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience

• Strong Java / Spring / Spring Boot experience

• REST API development and microservices

• Maven or Gradle

• JUnit and integration testing

• Strong understanding of OOD and design patterns

• Cloud experience: AWS, Azure or GCP

• Docker and Kubernetes

• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI

• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle

Nice to have:

• Automotive industry experience

• Vehicle diagnostics

• Automotive telemetry

• OTA software update architecture

• Software/firmware deployment pipelines

• Secure update mechanisms and package versioning

• MongoDB or Cassandra

• Vehicle software configuration management

• Vector CANoe or similar simulation tools

• Understanding of vehicle network/CAN communication

Languages:

English: Professional fluency required for collaboration with local stakeholders and international teams.

Italian: Professional fluency is a strong advantage
