About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and tech-savvy Head of IT & Digital Innovation to shape the future of our technological ecosystem. In this role, you won't just manage systems; you will be the architect of our IT strategy, bridging the gap between infrastructure and product innovation.

We are seeking a high-potential professional ready to take full ownership of our IT, Cloud, and AI integration. As we scale, you will have the unique opportunity to grow alongside the company, evolving from a strategic lead into a key executive figure. You will drive the adoption of advanced technologies to enhance our MedTech solutions and ensure our operations are secure, compliant, and ready for global expansion.

Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure (software, cloud, databases, networks, hardware) ensuring performance and scalability.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Define and implement cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with GDPR, NIS2, and industry standards like ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.
• AI & Technology Innovation: Lead AI, machine learning, and tech innovation to improve operational efficiency and product development.
• Collaboration with Engineering and R&D: Integrate technology solutions with engineering and R&D teams to enhance products and processes.
• Budget & Vendor Management: Manage the IT budget and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective technology solutions.
• Training & Development: Promote ongoing IT training programs for employees on the latest technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data analytics and business intelligence to drive decisions and optimize performance.
• Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute the IT vision and strategy, leading a team to achieve business goals.
• Infrastructure Optimization: Monitor and improve IT system performance for reliability, speed, and security.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure system uptime during disruptions.

Qualifications & Required Skills

• Proven experience as a senior IT leader in technology-driven or regulated industries (e.g. MedTech, AI, robotics).
• Expertise in managing IT infrastructure, including cloud services, databases, networks, and software platforms.
• Strong background in cybersecurity protocols and compliance with regulations like GDPR, NIS2, ISO 13485, IEC 62304.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration and deploying advanced technologies for efficiency and product development.
• Leadership skills with experience in team management, collaboration with engineering, R&D, and business teams.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and third-party service providers.
• Experience with data analytics, BI tools, and optimizing performance through data-driven decision-making.
• Solid understanding of IT best practices, including disaster recovery, business continuity, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Google, etc.), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools (e.g. Python, Ansible).
• Fluent in English and Italian, with a passion for innovation in regulated environments.

Salary Range: 45-65k€ (including basic, variable, and benefits)
