No /ph3Offer Description /h3pThe project examines how the shift from traditional cultural gatekeepers to decentralized, algorithm-driven platforms such as TikTok is reshaping inequalities in the cultural market. The analysis focuses on three dimensions: gender, assessing the effects on visibility, representation, and commercial success; socioeconomic background, investigating whether content dissemination democratizes access or reinforces existing disparities; and geography, examining whether algorithmic distribution broadens cultural production and consumption beyond major metropolitan centers. The pre-doctoral researcher will support data collection, organization, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation; participate in research meetings; and contribute to the preparation of conference materials and academic publications.
