solutions. /li /ul h3Join Schindler as a Senior Android Engineer (m/f/d) /h3 pWe are seeking a bSenior Android Engineer /b to strengthen our Software Engineering team. /p pIn this role, you will contribute to the implementation of current and future mobile applications for elevator passengers, helping establish and evolve the critical interfaces between mobile applications, elevator control systems, hardware components and access devices that power Schindler's next generation digital mobility ecosystem. /p pYou will play a key role in designing and evolving hardware-centric mobile solutions, bridging the digital and physical worlds through technologies such as bBLE /b, bNFC /b and future connectivity platforms. /p pYou will support the definition of software architecture, platform strategy and technology vision while driving the implementation of innovative mobile solutions as part of an international, globally distributed software engineering team. /p pYou will collaborate with product owners, architects and development teams, providing technical leadership and guidance on SDK development, hardware interfaces and software engineering best practices. /p the development, architecture and continuous improvement of innovative mobile solutions supporting Schindler's digital mobility ecosystem. /p pYour responsibilities include: /p ul liEnsuring future-proof software architecture and design for mobile applications in alignment with Schindler's strategy and technology vision. /li liPartnering with stakeholders to identify architecturally significant requirements and help shape the architecture vision and technology roadmap. /li liInteracting with product owners and development teams regarding software architectural decisions for mobile applications and related products. /li liCollaborating with engineering teams to shape the overall platform architecture and technology vision. /li liDesigning, implementing, testing and continuously improving SDKs to interface with hardware components, access devices and elevator control systems via bBLE /b, bNFC /b and other emerging technologies. /li liProviding technical leadership, guidance and assistance to software engineers in the usage of established SDKs and hardware interfaces. /li liContributing to sprint plans, estimates and technical design proposals. /li liInvestigating commercial and open-source software frameworks for applicability and integration. /liliEnsuring software quality through collaboration with requirement engineers and testers, while implementing automated tests and continuous integration practices. /li liParticipating in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, documentation and deployment. /li /ul h3What You Bring (Required Qualifications) /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in bComputer Science, Software Engineering /b or a related discipline. /li liDemonstrated passion for mobile applications and delivering exceptional user experiences. /li liExposure to and experience with physical access and mobile credential solutions. /li liStrong understanding and application of modern software engineering and software architecture principles. /li liStrong experience developing hardware-centric mobile applications using modern software engineering practices and technologies. /li liExperience establishing APIs and developing SDKs. /li liExperience with user experience and interface design, test automation and app analytics. /li liAbility to work effectively in international, distributed and fast-paced environments with changing priorities. /li liVery strong knowledge of native bAndroid application development using Kotlin /b. /li liProven experience with bBLE /b, bNFC /b and offline-mode/offline-first architectures. /li liExperience optimizing mobile applications for performance, reliability and battery efficiency. /li liKnowledge of product cybersecurity and secure development lifecycle practices. /li liFamiliarity with bIEC 62443 /b and secure software development principles. /li liExperience using software development tools including bGit /b and bJIRA /b. /li liSelf-directed, self-organized, highly responsible and reliable team player. /li liExcellent communication skills with proven experience collaborating in global setups and virtual teams. /li liStrong technical leadership profile, good analytical skills and openness to new technologies. /li liExperience working in Agile development
