We are looking for an RD Thermal Engineer to be part of our RD Department in San Giovanni Valdarno. /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 ul liYou lead the thermal design of new projects from the concept to the final design /li liYou are responsible to validate the thermal design of the products through numerical simulations and experiments, based on internal procedure and projects KPI /li liYou work with the mechanical and software department to achieve the needs. /li liYou work with the testing engineers to define the thermal tests layout, testing procedure, as well as select the sensors type to be used /li liYou work with our suppliers’ patterns to find the best thermal solutions and create the protypes to finalize for production. /li liYou look for innovative thermal management solutions /li /ul h3Your Background /h3 ul liYou have a master’s degree in physics, mechanical, energy engineering or equivalent, with a solid know how in fluid mechanics and heat transfer phenomena. /li liWith at least 3-5 years of experience in a medium-high range company focus on design and testing as Thermal Engineer or equivalent. /li liYou have strong experience in numerical modelling, design and testing of liquid to air heat exchangers, cooling of power electronic devices through air cooling, liquid cooling, multiphase cooling (is a plus). /li liYou have experience analyzing and processing experimental data for correlations development and models validation as well. /li liYou are an advanced user of CFD/CFX simulation tools mainly applied to heat transfer problems and heat conduction as well (ANSYS CFD and SolidWork Flow Simulation are preferred). /li liYou are a good user of 3D CAD system, in particular SolidWorks. /li liHaving experience in fan acoustic noise measurements and numerical simulation through FEM software is a plus. /li liYou feel comfortable in the lab, collaborating with testing engineers for mockups design and thermal test setup for products validation. /li liYou are a passion person with a lot of flexibility and creativity to accept proactively the daily challenges to provide the best solution.
