Technical Product Design Specialist

ppThis role aims to support the development of innovative solutions by creating accurate and feasible 3D models and technical drawings, ensuring coherence throughout the product design cycle and contributing to the successful industrialization of new products. /p h3Summary: /h3 pThe resource will create 3D models and mechanical designs for new products and parts, according to the different stages of the design cycle, and ensure that they are coherent and feasible. /p pShe/he will participate in the product ideation activities, being knowledgeable about the most appropriate processes to successfully deliver the innovation content. /p pThe resource will be responsible for the drawings needed to submit RFQs, to produce parts and assemblies, as well as for those that will be part of the Product Proposition to the Customers; for each document, she/he will select the most appropriate information to embed. /p pThe CAD Designer will also define and implement a Numbering System, archiving in a structured way the documents according to their statuses, and keeping track of their modifications over time. /p h3Responsibilities: /h3 ul liCreates 3D models and 2D drawings of parts and products, according to the Technical Requirements, under the technological constraints of the project. /li liSelects the most relevant information to include in the drawings depending on their purpose (including those aimed at the Customers), checks the Bill of Material of the Assembly drawings, and ensures the coherence between parts and assembly drawings. /li liDefines the tolerances of the parts/products according to the requirements, materials, processes, and cost. /li liIn doing so, she/he has a proactive role in the relationship with the suppliers, fostering a fruitful collaboration and scouting for new ones. /li liKeeps an open window on the main technological trends, in relevant fields such as manufacturing, materials, design. /li liKeeps track of the document updates and versions, managing the archive and registering the modification requests. /li liDefines, implements, and maintains a Numbering System. /li /ul h3Requirements: /h3 h3Must-haves: /h3 ul liExpert with technical drawing /li liUnderstanding the technical requirements /li liProficient use of 2D/3D CAD software (will be tested during the selection process). /li liExperience with software for 3D design and simulation. /li liKnowledge of the properties of the different materials. /li liFluent in Italian and English (will be tested during the selection process). /li liDegree in technical disciplines (Engineering, Physics) or equivalent experience. /li /ul h3Nice to have: /h3 ul li3 to 5 years experience in a similar role /li liSound knowledge of the main manufacturing processes of metals and plastics, as well as of their implications in terms of feasibility, precision, costs. /li liExperience with SAP-B1 and previous experience in design/bid or product management/production is an advantage /li liProficient user of Microsoft Office – Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP/CERCA.VERT, etc.); Word (e.g. revisions, cross-references); PowerPoint (e.g. timed presentation); Outlook (e.g. categories) – will be tested during the selection process /li /ul h3Other required skills: /h3 ul liHighly organised; capable of achieving goals and meeting deadlines. /li liAdaptable; thrives in a start-up environment and shapes undefined processes. /li liResilient under stress; eager to learn and improve daily. /li liAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. /li liWorks independently and as part of a team with open communication. /li liStrong professional ethics. /li liTakes the initiative, a self-starter, as required in a small Company /li liCustomer-centric relates to customers and prospects /li liAbility to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues /li liSense of urgency, gets things done /li liAble to set the right priorities in daily tasks /li liReferences will be requested /li liLocation: Province of Naples (Italy) /li /ul h3Why Join Us: /h3 ul lib30+ Years of Excellence /b /li liSince 1992, Megatron Sensors has been at the forefront of sensor technology, serving customers in b25+ countries worldwide /b.
