Role Description

As an experienced Business Manager for our Milan agency, you will act as a true intrapreneur responsible for developing and managing your business unit within the engineering consulting environment, ideally in the Industrial and IT sectors.

Business Development

• Build and develop your own client portfolio in the Industry and/or IT sector
• Conduct phone prospecting and in-person client meetings
• Understand client challenges and propose tailored consulting solutions
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
• Promote Abylsen’s three engagement models (technical assistance, service center, work package)

Recruitment & Team Management

• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit top consulting engineers
• Conduct interviews and select high‑potential consultants
• Manage, support, and retain your team through active career follow‑up
• Contribute to team engagement and performance

Profit Center Management & Coaching

• Manage and optimize the profitability of your business unit
• Monitor performance indicators and drive sustainable growth
• Coach and develop 2 Business Managers already in place
• Support the future growth of the Milan team

You will join the Italian subsidiary (created in 2021) and report directly to the Country Director.

Profile Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Engineering or Business School)
• Fluent Italian and English (mandatory)
• Proven experience as a Business Manager in engineering consulting, ideally in IT
• Strong track record in business development and client acquisition
• Experience managing consultants and ideally coaching junior Business Managers
