Junior Pipeline Engineer

ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bJunior Pipeline Engineer /b to join its office in Fano, Italy within the bPlant Engineering /b Division. /ph3Mission /h3pThe Junior Pipeline Engineer contribute to the design and development of pipeline systems. Assisting the senior engineers, the Junior Pipeline Engineer is involved in various aspects of pipeline design, material selection, hydraulic analysis, regulatory compliance, and construction support. /ph3Key Accountabilities /h3ulliSupport senior engineers in developing detailed engineering designs for pipelines, considering factors such as fluid type, pressure, temperature, terrain, and environmental regulations; /liliCollaborate with senior engineers to determine the best route for the pipeline, considering topography, geotechnical conditions, and land use, while minimizing environmental impact; /liliAid in choosing appropriate materials for pipeline construction, considering factors like corrosion resistance, strength, and cost-effectiveness under the guidance of senior engineers; /liliAssist in conducting hydraulic analysis to ensure proper sizing and flow characteristics of the pipeline, considering factors like pressure drop, fluid velocity, and pump station requirements; /liliWork with senior engineers to ensure that pipeline designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and codes; /liliAssist in performing stress analysis to ensure the structural integrity of the pipeline under various operating conditions and external forces, under the guidance of senior engineers; /liliCoordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as civil, structural, and environmental engineers, to integrate pipeline design with overall project requirements; /liliSupport senior engineers in preparing cost estimates for pipeline construction, considering material costs, labor, equipment, and other relevant expenses; /liliProvide assistance during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise and ensuring that the construction is in accordance with the approved design under the guidance of senior engineers; /liliAid in identifying and assessing potential risks associated with pipeline design and proposing mitigation measures under the guidance of senior engineers; /liliAssist in communicating with clients to understand their requirements, present design proposals, and address any concerns or modifications; /liliAssist in preparing detailed engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports under the guidance of senior engineers; /liliSupport senior engineers in exploring new technologies and methodologies to optimize pipeline design and construction processes. /li /ulh3Education /h3pMaster’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering /ppOther in Energy Engineering /ph3Qualifications /h3ulli1-3 years of working experience; /liliStrong understanding of engineering principles and concepts; /liliExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills; /liliEffective communication and teamwork abilities; /liliEagerness to learn and develop within the field of pipeline engineering; /liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English; /liliKnowledge in engineering software tools such as Ansys, AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar will be positively evaluated. /li /ulh3Competencies /h3ulliFORESIGHT INSIGHT - Context awareness adopting a systemic perspective and informed decision making. /liliWORKPLACE DYNAMICS - Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently. /liliINTERPERSONAL INFLUENCE - Skills and strategies we use to interact effectively with others. /liliDOMAIN BUSINESS ACUMEN - Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise. /liliPERSONAL EMPOWERMENT - Ownership for life, work and results, striving to grow professionally and personally. /li /ulh3Compensation Benefits /h3pThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with bCCNL RINA /b (CNEL code I480). /ppThe gross annual salary range foreseen is between b€30,000 and €39,000 /b and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.
