We have frac vessels, surface equipment and innovative downhole multizone stimulation technologies to solve a range of customer issues.Opportunity of cross trainingThis is a great opportunity to receive training and exposure to different product lines. You may be required to support other aligned field operations during the well completion phase. Specific training will be given and you will be gradually introduced to cross training, when required, supported by senior downhole tool specialists.As a Frac Engineer you will interact with Baker Hughes completion office, customers office and customers representatives at the job site. You will lead a field specialist crew at rig site, mainly composed of downhole tools specialist and pumping operators. You will be involved in the design, execution and optimisation of various frac and gravel pack treatments.As a Frac Engineer you will also be responsible for:Operating, controlling and deploying fracturing operations and processes onsite according to the client activity planCollaborating with stakeholders at the design phase and be willing to diversify in the deployment of a variety of other completion tools (training provided)Tracking chemicals, rates and pressures using a variety of purpose-built software to ensure effective data collection and analysisCollaborating with the lab and occasionally managing the test of frac chemicals on location to ensure Quality ControlEnsuring all software is ready for the job and troubleshooting challenges that are encountered during the operationCollecting data and providing client support – keeping all relevant stakeholders informed about technical issues and providing advisory supportSupervising teams onsite and training new frac crew and engineersDaily report writing to provide accurate data to relevant stakeholders providing operational solutions and timely problem solvingTo be successful in this role you will:Have onshore or field engineering experience in fracturing treatments or related completion operations such as stimulation, gravel packs, sand control and pressure pumpingHave the ability to manage and test frac, stimulation and other oil and gas chemicals on location with an understanding of QAQCBe adept in a customer facing position where communicating technical data is essentialShow good supervisory, communication and influencing skillsBe competent at delivering training to new staffDemonstrated ability to understand and use software and modelling packages for example GOHFER, FracPro and StimplanAn awareness of government regulation and associated agencies for chemical usage in the oil and gas sectorHave excellent report writing and summarising skillsHave excellent problem solving and analytical skillsApplications from people with disabilities are expressly welcome.
