Senior Electrical Engineer

ph3About Us /h3 pWe are an early-stage technology company operating at the intersection of Energy and AI infrastructure, focused on developing a new generation of efficient and scalable computing infrastructure. Our approach combines distributed computing, modular infrastructure and energy efficiency to support the rapidly growing demand for AI and high-performance computing. The company is developing a new model for deploying compute capacity in a flexible and scalable way, with a strong focus on efficiency, sustainability, reliability and responsible infrastructure development. This is an opportunity to join a growing team at an early stage and contribute directly to the development of a new infrastructure platform, working at the intersection of power, data centers and advanced computing. /p h3Role Overview /h3 pWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team and take full ownership of the electrical systems across our product family. You will drive electrical architecture, technology selection, and detailed design for the Pod, Module, and Shell products. As owner across the product family you will also seek opportunities for cross-product optimization and standardization. This is a deeply technical role where you will own designs end-to-end, from first concept through prototype build, testing, validation, and production readiness. You will work across LV and MV power systems, collaborate closely with the mechanical and thermal engineering teams, and be a key technical voice in shaping how our infrastructure is powered. /p h3What You Will Deliver /h3 pThis is a high-impact, high-ownership role within a growing engineering team. You will play a key role in bringing a new generation of modular infrastructure products from concept to production, with the electrical architecture you define becoming an integral part of the products delivered to customers. /p h3In Your First Year /h3 pYou will own the electrical system design of the company’s core product, taking it from system architecture through detailed engineering, testing and production readiness. In parallel, you will contribute to the electrical architecture and design of larger-scale systems, establishing a consistent electrical foundation across the broader product family. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liOwn the electrical system design of modular infrastructure products end-to-end, including technology selection, system architecture, detailed design, testing and validation /li liDevelop single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, cable schedules, protection coordination studies and panel layouts /li liSize and specify LV and MV power distribution systems, protection devices, switchgear and cabling for industrial and outdoor environments /li liDesign interfaces with battery energy storage systems and site-level power infrastructure, including metering and phase balancing /li liDefine and drive electrical testing and commissioning procedures from first prototype through production release /li liCollaborate with mechanical and thermal engineers to integrate electrical systems within enclosure constraints, ensuring appropriate routing, clearances and serviceability /li liWork with suppliers and contract partners to specify, procure and technically qualify electrical components and subsystems /li liMaintain electrical design documentation, drawings and revision control in line with engineering standards /li liContribute to design reviews and cross-functional problem solving across hardware, thermal and electrical domains /li liResearch, evaluate and co-develop new technological solutions and approaches with academic and industry partners /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field /li li5+ years of hands-on electrical system design experience, with systems delivered through prototype, commissioning or production /li liStrong experience in LV and MV power distribution system design, up to 35 kV /li liProficiency with electrical design tools such as EPLAN Electric P8, AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent /li liExperience with protection coordination, load flow analysis and fault-level calculations /li liSolid knowledge of relevant electrical standards, such as IEC 60364, IEC 61439, EN 50600 or equivalent /li liExperience designing power systems for industrial, energy or infrastructure applications /li liAbility to work comfortably at both system architecture and detailed design levels /li liStrong understanding of electrical safety requirements /li liAbility to work in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy /li liProfessional working proficiency in English /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liExperience with battery energy storage systems, renewable energy integration or off-grid power systems /li liBackground in edge computing, modular infrastructure, data centers or outdoor-deployed industrial equipment /li liFamiliarity with power quality analysis, harmonic mitigation or grid interconnection requirements /li liExperience with control and monitoring system integration, including PLC, SCADA, BMS or DCIM /li liKnowledge of EMC and EMI requirements for mixed-signal power and IT environments /li liPrevious experience in a hardware startup or scale-up where engineering scope and pace required broad ownership /li /ul h3Location /h3 pMilan, Italy.
