Field Application Engineer

In this role you manage your territory and drive technical solutions for customers to aid decision‑making on projects. You apply deep technical knowledge to support customers, identify needs, and recommend innovative approaches that foster sales growth. You will champion the value proposition across design wins and participate in R&D activities, contributing to product and engineering efforts. You collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align technical and business objectives while staying current with roadmap trends to guide customers toward impactful solutions.Benefits

• Provide technical support and design guidance to customers using AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, SWs, processors, SoCs, and related development tools
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive design wins and support customers from concept to production
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and hands‑on training to customers and internal teams
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, Avnet Silica, and AMD/Xilinx to communicate feedback and optimize solutions
• Stay current with AMD/Xilinx product roadmaps, Vivado/Versal tools, and industry trends to guide customers toward innovative solutions

• Extensive experience as a development engineer and working with programmable components (FPGA)
• Deep knowledge of SW and processors mainly X86 architecture
• Initiative attitude, high energy and motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team collaboration environment
• Ability to speak good technical English
• Experience in developing embedded computer systems could be considered an advantage
• Familiarity with environments for implementing AI‑based systems could be considered an advantage
