OCS Specialist - Italy (Milan)

Position

OCS Specialist, Italy – Milan. Reports to: Country Manager – Italy. Applies clinical aspects of the Organ Care System (OCS) and supports its use in Italy and other regions.

Responsibilities

• Follow hands‑on training and OCS certification across organ platforms, and apply OCS knowledge during organ retrieval, preservation, transport and assessment according to TransMedics protocols.
• Work full‑time on a variable on‑call schedule to ensure coverage of cases at any time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Travel as needed to clinical sites within the EU transplant network and beyond to support OCS cases.
• Communicate regularly with the TransMedics EU Clinical Programs and Training Lead to relay real‑time updates and raise issues.
• Support national and regional events by providing clinical expertise to the sales team, customers and prospective customers.
• Prepare (with support of senior colleagues) and present internal case reviews following OCS use.
• Manage equipment stored at the logistics hub in Milan on a weekly basis (preventative maintenance, inventory counts and testing).
• Assist with site initiation, refresher training and provide clinical guidance to users.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional TransMedics departments to drive adoption of OCS technology in the Italian market and beyond.
• Assist in delivering training to the sales team about OCS functionality.
• Conduct literature analysis and present findings to management.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis.
• Attend national and international congresses as required.
• Perform other TransMedics tasks and duties as required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in written and spoken Italian and English.
• Reside close to one of the company hubs.
• Hold a degree in Techniques of Cardiocirculatory Pathophysiology and Vascular Perfusion (or equivalent) and have at least 3 years of relevant clinical experience, or a BSN with experience in CVICU, CVOR, cath lab, ED, transplant or equivalent combination.
• Highly flexible, willing to support sites on nights, holidays and weekends.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to establish and maintain long‑term trusted relationships.
• Strong customer facing and engagement skills.
• Strong work ethic and accountability for personal and organizational results.
• Proven ability to remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Concur expense management.
