Control Engineer (Hybrid)

Overview
As a Train Control engineer at Alstom, you will perform control engineering across architecture to detailed specification for train control functions, collaborating with system engineers to ensure safe, compliant solutions. You will develop and deliver functional, electrical, and software specifications, ICDs, and handling change requests while supporting tests and train integration. You contribute to standardized practices and reuse learnings from previous projects to improve delivery quality and reliability. This role offers impact on complex rail systems and cross-functional collaboration in a global mobility leader.
Responsabilità- Perform control engineering activities from architecture to detailed specification and interface design for train control functions
- Implement development practices and rules per TrainControl support plans
- Formulate LV and SW control designs that meet customer requirements
- Deliver outputs: Functional Specifications, Electrical Functional Schemes, Software Specifications; ensure quality, cost, delay commitments
- Deliver Interface Control Document (ICD) for subsystem participation
- Process Change Requests related to the function
- Standardize and maximize reuse from previous projects
- Support supplier interface testing and Train Control verification tests on PC or TCMS Test Bench; assist during train integration and validation
- Contribute to domain/software/schematic/EDU lessons learned
- Rolling stock functional engineer experience on the mentioned functions
- Experience in electrical and schematic design
- Experience in electrical/electro-mechanical/automation engineering with min 1–2 years
- Hands-on in IEC61131-3 software or model-based development tools (Matlab/Simulink, Control Build)
- Experience in validation and verification testing or related development activities
