Overview

As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) you will guide AWS customers along their multi‑year journey to the cloud. In this highly visible position you will ensure that all AWS teams work together effectively and efficiently to deliver outcomes for the customer.

In this role you will be a trusted partner to our AWS customers, leveraging your delivery experience with technical change programs to shepherd the customer through their stages of AWS adoption. You will guide the customer through the operational, educational and governance aspects of a successful cloud journey.

You will interface with AWS customers and AWS leadership, driving collaboration between core account groups (Sales, Support, Solutions Architecture, and Professional Services), product/engineering teams, and customer teams, planning and supporting workload migrations.

You will translate strategic initiatives in the account plan into executable actions, working backwards from the customer’s key milestones. The delivery of education plans, roadmap to business outcome alignments, executive briefing sessions, and go‑live events and transitions are a few items owned by the CSM that are critical to the success of our customer’s cloud journey.

Responsibilities

• Drive collaboration between AWS teams and customer teams to deliver successful cloud outcomes.
• Plan and support workload migrations, ensuring operational, educational, and governance aspects are addressed.
• Translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans and execute them, aligning with customer milestones.
• Deliver education plans, roadmaps, executive briefings, and go‑live events.
• Evangelize AWS services and guide customers in adopting them.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations to ensure customers successfully adopt AWS solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or experience in external or internal customer‑facing, complex, and large‑scale project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to executives and non‑technical leaders.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Fluent German proficiency required for this role.
• Experience in project and program management, delivering key business outcomes.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security, databases (Relational and/or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing AWS/cloud services.
• Knowledge of the support market and insights related to cloud computing and IT.
• PMP, SCRUM/Agile, or SAFe certification.
