Process Control & Automation Specialist

The Process Control & Automation Specialist analyzes possible technical solutions, prepares the related technical specifications, and evaluates the suppliers of process control and automation systems. Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Prepare the required documentation in compliance with project contractual requirements, allocated budget, and project schedule;
- Review and comment on documents produced by Vendors during project development;
- Coordinate with the Commercial Function on requests related to the systems under responsibility in line with ongoing bid requirements, issuing material requisitions and managing the technical alignment of the shortlisted vendors;
- Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) for the systems under responsibility, in close collaboration with the Functions in charge of testing activities;
- Assist Construction and Commissioning departments based on project needs and requests;
- Support the implementation and continuous update of operating standards, procedures, and working methodologies related to the systems under responsibility;
- Contribute to updating historical, technical, and commercial data across the Group’s relevant systems;
- Participate in power‑on and site acceptance tests (SAT) of the Control Systems at plant site;
- Keep up to date with technical developments related to plant digitalization, industrial applications, and discipline‑specific innovations, also by participating in discipline technical training.
- According to the complexity of the activities managed and level of autonomy, the above-mentioned activities are assigned to the Process Control & Automation Specialist/Senior Specialist.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience as Automation Specialist within Oil & Gas, Energy or industrial projects.
- Fluent English speaker and writer
- Availability to travel for short/medium period in Italy and abroad
- Highly motivated, team‑oriented, and proactive approach to challenges is a must

Contract Type and Classification- Contract type: Permanent
- Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical‑Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)
- Job classification level: Middle Manager, consistent with job requirements and applicable Collective Agreement
The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be 48,000.00€.
- The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation bonus.
- Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
