Full Stack Java/React Developer

Responsibilities

• Analyze client business requirements and translate them into technical features, tasks, data structures, APIs, and persisted entities.
• Build and maintain front-end and back-end functionality for web and cross-platform mobile applications.
• Design APIs and GraphQL schemas that securely expose appropriate information to users.
• Apply software design patterns, refactoring techniques, accessibility practices, performance optimization, internationalization, and unit and integration testing.
• Make architecture and technology decisions across the application stack and document implementations for future maintenance.
• Collaborate with designers, software developers, quality assurance engineers, and project managers in a highly collaborative team setting.
• Break down large areas of functionality into suitable features and tasks.
• Mentor less experienced developers and contribute hands-on deliverables.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and bring new skills and capabilities to existing teams.

Requirements

• Experience developing across both front-end and back-end application layers.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot, React and/or React Native, and modern web application technologies.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and design data structures, APIs, entity relationships, and application architecture.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, JavaScript patterns, UI libraries or kits, accessibility, performance, testing, internationalization, and refactoring.
• Ability to create maintainable, reusable, testable, and high-quality software.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative teams and coordinate work across disciplines.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and openness to new technologies and techniques.
• Background working with Scrum or Kanban is a plus.
• Experience with emerging headless CMS technologies or A/B testing is a plus.
