AI, Physical AI & Humanoid Robotics: a new challenge for industry

For a major technological and industrial innovation project , we are looking for a:

SENIOR ROBOTICS & AI INNOVATION MANAGER

SENIOR ROBOTICS & AI INNOVATION MANAGER

a professional who will contribute to the development and industrial application of Artificial Intelligence, Physical AI, Advanced Robotics and Humanoid Systems .

This is an opportunity to join a project at the intersection of AI, robotics and industrial innovation , with a distinctive feature: the role itself will evolve as the technology and the project progress .

During the first phase, the selected candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a hands-on approach, working directly on the development and validation of advanced robotic and AI applications.

As the project evolves, the role will progressively move towards Technology & Innovation leadership , contributing to the definition of new applications, technology priorities and the long-term roadmap for the introduction of humanoid systems into industrial environments.

First 12 Months | From Lab to PoC

The first 12 months will focus on the development and validation of a concrete Humanoid Robotics and Physical AI PoC in an industrial environment.

The successful candidate will contribute to:

• defining and developing an initial Humanoid Robotics use case

• applying Artificial Intelligence, Physical AI, Machine Learning and Robot Learning

• developing Imitation Learning / Learning from Demonstration approaches

• defining and integrating robot hardware, sensing technologies and system architecture

• exploring wearable sensing solutions to capture human demonstrations and relevant motion data

• defining data acquisition, organization, storage and management processes for robot learning

• collaborating with R&D teams, technology partners and applied research environments throughout the development process

• addressing system reliability, safety and robustness

• moving the solution progressively from laboratory experimentation towards an industrial test environment

• validating the PoC through controlled testing in a protected industrial area

• producing technical deliverables and assessing the potential for further industrial applications.

The objective is to transform emerging Physical AI and humanoid robotics technologies into a concrete, tested and industrially relevant application within 12 months.

Beyond the First 12 Months | From PoC to Industrial Roadmap

Following the initial PoC, the role will progressively evolve from hands-on technical development towards broader Technology & Innovation responsibilities .

The candidate will contribute to:

• identifying and evaluating new applications of Physical AI, Humanoid Robotics and Advanced Robotics in industrial processes

• defining technology priorities and development roadmaps

• contributing to a multi-year roadmap for the introduction of humanoid systems into industrial environments

• coordinating projects involving R&D, Manufacturing, IT/Data and external technology partners

• evaluating technological maturity, industrial feasibility, safety, reliability and economic sustainability

• supporting the transition from individual PoCs towards scalable industrial applications

• developing internal technological capabilities, methodologies and best practices

• progressively taking ownership of projects, planning, budgets and stakeholder management.

The long-term objective is to contribute to defining how Physical AI and humanoid robotics can progressively become part of future industrial operations .

Requisiti:

The Profile We Are Looking For

We are looking for a technically strong professional with experience in one or more of the following areas:

Physical AI · Embodied AI · Humanoid Robotics · Robotics Engineering · Robot Learning · AI Robotics · Advanced Robotics · Autonomous Systems · Industrial AI · Robotics R&D · Smart Manufacturing

Hands-on experience in areas such as:

Robot Learning · Imitation Learning · Machine Learning · Computer Vision · Sensor Fusion · ROS/ROS2 · Robotics · AI · Mechatronics · Autonomous Systems

will be highly relevant.

Experience with robot hardware, sensing technologies, data acquisition, robot programming, system integration and experimental validation will also be valuable.

Particularly relevant is experience in moving, even partially, through the journey:

Laboratory → PoC → Testing → Industrial Application

Experience in translating advanced robotics or AI technologies into real-world applications will be considered particularly relevant.

An exclusively academic or research-oriented background may not be sufficient: the role requires the ability to connect advanced technology with concrete industrial applications .
