The Power Converter Engineer will support the development of innovative power products that meet company goals, customer needs, and industry standards. The Power Converter Engineer will collaborate with teams like service, manufacturing, and procurement to address issues throughout the design process. /p h3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3 ulliWork with the team to analyze, design and test future conversion topologies and components, including power conversion stage, gate drivers, magnetics, etc. /liliPerform lab tests to increase technology readiness and verify performance. /liliCoordinate with engineering divisions and offering to define product specifications. /liliSupport the testing team in creating plans and assessing results. /liliPrepare technical documents, including simulation results, schematics and component specifications.. /liliApply lessons learned from previous projects to new ones. /liliReport progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders and management promptly. /li /ul h3What will make you successful? /h3 ulliDegree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field. /lili3+ years in UPS, or power conversion platforms (AC/DC, DC/DC, etc.). Isolated DC/DC design is a plus. /liliSubstantial knowledge of IGBT, Mosfet, SiC power switches – in power modules and discrete packages; SMD TSC top side cooled design experience is a plus. /liliKnowledge of gate driver circuits, analog and protection circuits and PWM modulation techniques. /liliHigh current power PCB layout knowledge basics; power PCB layout electrical and thermal simulation and design skill is a plus. /liliMagnetic components basics; Planar magnetics design skill is a plus. /liliProven experience in prototype development, tuning and testing. /liliAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. /liliProficient with engineering design tools and methodologies (Plecs, Spice). /liliStrong in planning, analysis and communication. /liliCollaborative team player with solid problem-solving skills. /liliCustomer-oriented; open to travel. /liliGood in written and spoken English. /liliExperienced in technical documentation and test procedures. /liliComplete knowledge of laboratory measuring instruments operation (oscilloscope, wattmeter, etc.). /li /ul pTravel required on an occasional basis (10%) including international travel for NPDI product reviews and corporate meetings. /p pIfbYOU /bare the person we are looking for, feel free to apply and let's start drafting your future career in a healthy and growing environment! /p pThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities. /p h3OUR CORE PRINCIPALS /h3 pSafety. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits.
