ph3Finishing Fine Fibers Department Manager /h3 h3Purpose of the Role /h3 pTo drive operational excellence in Finishing and Fine Fibers operations by ensuring efficient, safe and customer-focused processes that support the plant's quality, service and profitability objectives. /p h3Position Summary /h3 pThe Finishing Fine Fibers Department Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all Finishing and Fine Fibers operations, including the Laminator Line, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective production while meeting customer quality requirements. /p pThe role oversees the Finishing Department, Fine Fibers Line and Laminator Line, ensuring a smooth workflow from paper machine output to finished product shipment. The position is accountable for safety, people management, operational performance, quality and continuous improvement within the department. /p h3Reporting Line /h3 pReports to: Production Manager /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Safety, Health Environment /h3 ul liPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company and legal HSE requirements. /li liLead safety initiatives, risk assessments, audits, near misses reports. /li liEnsure operators are adequately trained and qualified. /li liDrive continuous improvement in workplace safety performance. /li /ul h3Production Management /h3 ul liEnsure the safe and efficient operation of all finishing and converting processes. /li liManage daily production activities related to: /li ul liRoll handling and reel logistics /li liProduct finishing and packaging /li liFine Fibers production line /li liLaminator Line /li liCore cutting operations /li liCore preparation area /li /ul liPlan and coordinate manpower, equipment, and production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery targets. /li liMonitor production performance and implement corrective actions when required. /li liOptimize machine utilization, productivity and operational efficiency. /li liWork closely with Maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability and uptime. /li liSupport preventive and predictive maintenance programs. /li liCoordinate shutdown activities and improvement projects.Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining safety and quality standards. /li /ul h3Quality Management /h3 ul liEnsure finished products comply with customer specifications and quality standards. /li liCollaborate closely with Quality and Production departments to address non-conformities and customer complaints. /li liMonitor key quality indicators and implement corrective and preventive actions. /li liSupport continuous improvement of product quality and process reliability. /li /ul h3People Leadership /h3 ul liLead, motivate and develop department employees. /li liManage staffing, training, performance reviews and succession planning. /li liPromote employee engagement, accountability and teamwork. /li liFoster effective communication across shifts and departments. /li /ul h3Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liLead operational excellence initiatives. /li liIdentify opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity and lower operating costs. /li liAnalyze KPIs and implement improvement plans.Participate in capital projects and equipment upgrades. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Education /h3 ul liBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Paper Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or High School diploma with significant experience in finishing departments. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in paper manufacturing, converting, finishing, laminating, packaging or comparable process industries. /li liProven experience in coordinating production activities and managing teams in a manufacturing environment. /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 ul liKnowledge of paper finishing, converting and laminating operations. /li liUnderstanding of packaging systems, reel handling and production logistics. /li liKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /li liWorking knowledge of English, both written and spoken. /li liExcellent command of Italian, both written and spoken. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liItalian fluent /li liWorking knowledge of English, both written and spoken /li /ul h3Leadership Competencies /h3 ul liStrong people management and coaching skills. /li liResults-oriented mindset. /li liExcellent communication and organizational abilities. /li liAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. /li liStrong decision-making and changing management capabilities. /li /ul h3Salary /h3 pThe salary range for this position is € 45.000 - € 55.000 gross per year.
