As Lead Supplier Performance Engineer for NSSS Major Components, you provide technical leadership across regulated procurements and mentor a team of SPEs. You ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met while navigating complex supplier relationships. Based in Monfalcone, Italy, you will lead performance strategies, drive risk mitigation, and uphold nuclear-quality standards in a hybrid work setup with international travel. - Lead and coordinate activities of Supplier Performance Engineers across multiple suppliers and projects
- Serve as technical escalation point for supplier performance issues, quality events, and delivery risks
- Ensure consistent application of supplier performance expectations and oversight across SPE team
- Develop and execute supplier performance strategies including recovery plans and continuous improvement
- Enforce compliance with ASME Section III, regulatory requirements, and quality standards through documentation review
- Lead resolution of complex technical and quality issues balancing safety, quality, schedule, and cost
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and scorecards to identify risks and opportunities
- Provide leadership updates on supplier status, risks, and resource needs
- Support onboarding and development of SPEs to strengthen capability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with project objectives
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
- 10+ years in highly regulated industries; nuclear experience preferred
- Experience leading technical teams and managing supplier performance
- Strong knowledge of nuclear/regulatory quality programs (NQA‑1, ASME Section III, 10 CFR)
